If you are sending in a preliminary transcript for acceptance, you must be in your final term and planning to start your master’s degree after the last day of class for your bachelor’s degree. You must submit both a self-certification form and an official transcript to confirm that you are in your final term. The official preliminary transcripts must show a minimum of 105 completed credit hours. Finally, in order to maintain your acceptance and be permitted to continue in your program, you must send in an additional, final official transcript with a conferral date on it by the end of your first term of enrollment.
If you plan to dual enroll in both a bachelor’s and master’s degree program, you must contact the Registrar’s Office to obtain a dual enrollment application. Along with your completed dual enrollment application, you must complete and submit a graduate application.
As a non-Liberty undergraduate student, in addition to completing and submitting a graduate application, if you plan to dual enroll in both a bachelor’s and master’s degree program you must contact and speak with our registrar directly. You must also have your current university’s registrar send Liberty’s Registrar’s Office an official letter to confirm that you are in the last nine credit hours of your undergraduate degree program.

The Human Resource Management Certificate program is designed for working professionals who have obtained a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and wish to strengthen their understanding of human resource management fundamentals. Through varied learning methodologies, the student is exposed to several disciplines within the profession of human resource management with emphasis on the strategic role of human resources in today’s business world. The body of coursework is designed to align with the professional certification exams offered through the Human Resource Certification Institute in affiliation with the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM).

A program that prepares you for an entry-level position in management and personnel administration. Entry positions are primarily at the level of assistants or technicians in areas of responsibility such as benefits administration, compensation, employment management, labor relations, training, or safety. Graduates may also pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management at colleges offering this specialized curriculum.

ONE-YEAR MASTER OF SCIENCE
For students with a four-Year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

In order to apply for a one-year MSc program you must satisfy the following requirements:

Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Honours degree or substantial professional experience).

English language test to prove a minimum level of English: TOEFL 580 (paper-based), 237 (computer-based) or 92 (internetbased) / TOEIC 830 / IELTS 6.5.
The test is waived for students who have a Bachelor’s degree from an English speaking university.

A GMAT or GRE score will be to the candidate’s advantage.
TWO-YEAR MASTER OF SCIENCE
For students with a three-year university degree

Unlike many college major fields, a degree in HR equips the graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to assume entry-level professional employment.

Undergraduate study in human resources management at BHSU is taught by an interdisciplinary team of accomplished faculty including professors, entrepreneurs, and professionals in the human resources field. Many of our faculty worked in human resources or in the practice of law prior to becoming professors. Some of the professors remain active in the field, consulting and publishing research in the areas of their expertise. Your professors will incorporate several teaching methods including classroom instruction, guest lectures, field trips, and internships.

The admissions file is self-managed by the applicant. The applicant is responsible for collecting all of the pertinent documents necessary for the application, and sending a completed application packet to the Office of Graduate Admissions, Smyth Hall, Room 244. This self-managed system assures the applicant that upon submission of his/her application materials prior to the admission deadline, the admissions file is complete and the applicant will be considered for admission. The Admissions Committees review only completed admissions files following the admission deadline. (Please refer to deadlines for application materials.) An admissions decision will be communicated to the applicant by official letter from the Director of Graduate Admissions. An enrollment deposit is required for applicants admitted to a graduate program with the intent to enroll. The deposit is applied to the first semester’s tuition.

Any applicant for a program leading to teacher certification who holds a bachelor’s degree from a college or university outside the United States or Canada must have his/her transcript(s) evaluated by the New York State Bureau of Teacher Certification and Evaluation; completion of this process is considered a provision of admission because it may take six months to complete this process.
