Human movement draws upon both the socio-cultural and bio-physical sciences to study physical activity and its impact in many forms from healthy living/health-related fitness to sports performance. It includes the study of those areas of fitness, health and sport where exercise and physical activity are used as a means of improving and maintaining optimal levels of health, developing fitness and improving performance, as well as assisting in rehabilitation from injury or disease. The aims of this program is to introduce students to some of the diverse theoretical and applied aspects of human movement.

This major provides students with an understanding of contemporary developments and trends in employment relations theory and practice. Analytical skills are developed in relation to the knowledge and theory of human resource management, industrial relations and occupational health and safety. A sound basis in theory is combined with practical, technical and communication skills to produce a well-rounded graduate. The mix of core and elective units enables specialisation in several fields. The program is accredited by the AAESS (Australian Association of Exercise and Sport Science).
Human movement can be studied as a major in the Bachelor of Science, which allows you flexibility in the choice of your second major and elective units. Or, you can enrol in the Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Health), a named program that provides a structured focus on exercise science and complementary topics.
