Prospective students seeking admission to a certificate program must meet the regular entrance requirements for the College of Professional Studies. Admission of new students is dependent upon all past educational experiences and other significant activities. Students who are currently matriculated for a degree must be in good academic standing to qualify for admission into a certificate program. Students not satisfying the minimum graduate admission test score and GPA requirements for unconditional admission may be conditionally admitted to the program. After the student completes the first three graduate (6000 level) courses with a ‘‘B’’ or better average, the student will be granted unconditional admission. Students not satisfying conditional admission requirements will be dropped from the program for one calendar year, after which time the student must petition for readmission. To be reviewed for admission into the Master of Science in Human Resources Program, you must:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Provide two letters of recommendation, preferably from employers or supervisors
Take either the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT); the GRE or MAT will be waived for those who have matriculated in and completed four (4) courses from the Human Resources Certificate Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.5
Complete the Graduate Application for Admission
International students must take the TOEFL or the IELTS and provide a statement of financial resources
Applicants applying for a graduate certificate must have earned an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, with a minimum undergraduate quality point average (QPA) of 2.7. Students not meeting this requirement may be reconsidered for admission after completing one (1) prescribed course in the certificate program. Other admission standards may apply depending on the certificate program. Please refer to the specific certificate program for details. The Graduate Certificate Program Application for Admission is available online or by calling the DGCE at 508-626-4550. The application fee for the Graduate Certificate is $50.
