Human Resource Management Undergraduate at London Metropolitan University

Course structure

Single Honours students take eight modules at each level. Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Human Resource Management, plus four from your other subject. You may also choose a Major/Minor combination after level 1.

Level 1 prepares you for higher education-level study, introducing key topics and helping you to gain an overview of your subject.

Level 3 further develops skills in problem identification and analysis through a project or equivalent.

You may also opt for Elective Studies

Teaching, learning and assessment

Methods include essays, reports, academic papers, presentations, writing portfolios, group projects and examinations.

Career opportunities

The course equips graduates well for a career in human resource management, employee relations or training and development, as well as in general management or graduate trainee posts in the commercial or public/voluntary sectors. The course also provides a foundation for postgraduate study and for study towards graduateship of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Professional accreditation/exemption

Some exemptions from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development may be possible.
