Briar Cliff University’s online Graduate Management Certificate Program provides managers and aspiring managers the essential skills needed for successful leadership. BCU’s online Graduate Management Certificate Program helps individuals become knowledgeable and capable of handling the many aspects of the employment relationship. The Graduate Management Certificate provides managers and aspiring managers with the necessary tools needed to be valuable professionals in any organization through online courses that offer:
• Management skills with only five online graduate courses
• Supervisory techniques that lead to advancement opportunities
• Up-to-date practices to immediately apply in the workplace
A Graduate Management Certificate is awarded after successful completion of all five courses. The Graduate Management Certificate transfers to BCU’s online Master of Arts in Human Resource Management Program, which completes nearly one-half of the master’s program.

The MAHRM is a 35 hour interdisciplinary program encompassing all aspects of the employment relationship. It also reinforces presentation and communication skills which are vital to the well being of an organization.

The department’s goals are based on a concept that emphasizes not only technical competence but also the ethics of professional service, thus seeking to foster sensitivity and responsiveness to social responsibilities as well as the ability to identify and pursue personal opportunities. The faculty endeavors to achieve these goals through a variety of teaching techniques-lectures, cases, role-playing, experiential exercises, seminars, directed study, internships and computer team simulations. The department arranges and supervises internships (i.e., actual job situations) for qualified juniors and seniors.

Applicants applying for a graduate certificate must have earned an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, with a minimum undergraduate quality point average (QPA) of 2.7. Students not meeting this requirement may be reconsidered for admission after completing one (1) prescribed course in the certificate program. Other admission standards may apply depending on the certificate program. Please refer to the specific certificate program for details. The Graduate Certificate Program Application for Admission is available online or by calling the DGCE at 508-626-4550. The application fee for the Graduate Certificate is $50.
This graduate certificate program in Human Resource Management provides students with five core courses of graduate level learning in the specialty practice of Human Resource Management. The graduate certificate program is designed to prepare professionals in the specialty of Human Resource Management who may not be interested in completing an entire degree program. Upon successful completion of this graduate level program, one graduates with a Graduate College Certificate in Human Resource Management.

These graduate certificates are 12-credit / four courses within the Master of Administrative Science (MAS) program. The following certificate can be taken on a matriculating or non-matriculating basis and also can be taken as post-graduate certificates for students who have earned a graduate degree. The minimum number of students per class is ten.
This 12-credit certificate program is geared toward the human resource practictioner.
Program Description: The graduate professional Certificate in Human Resource Policy and Management will provide students with a thorough understanding of the managerial concepts and techniques of human resource (personnel) management. It is designed particularly for those who are uncertain whether they wish to apply for admission to the MPA program, or those who wish some advanced professional certification but not a complete graduate degree.
Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or better. Admission to a certificate program does not ensure admission to the MPA program. However, students in the
