Addressees: Studies are addressed to managers and HRM practitioners, as well as to the personnel of future specialists.

Objective: The aim of study is theoretical and practical preparation of students to create and implement the optimal policy in the company’s staff. This requires on the one hand, knowledge about modern methods of personnel selection, training, management, motivation, social and psychological functioning of the rules of people in organizations and legal circumstances of these rules. On the other hand, from the specialist and manager of the HR Department is required, in addition to an adequate knowledge of tools and their application, including interpersonal competence, predisposing to work in the profession.

Scope and organization of the course: The program includes 210 hours of teaching, taking place in the form of interactive lectures, seminars and exercises. Topics of classes is determined by the key to the Head of Department ZZL contemporary areas of responsibilities and powers:

Recruitment and selection of personnel,
Evaluating employees
Training and staff development,
Project management,
Management of salaries,
Negotiations in the internal corporate environment,
Legal aspects in the management of human resources,
The organization of modern human resources department,
Management by competencies
The professional co-operation with consultancy
Management of change.

Conditions of assessment: Assessment of individual classes in the study.

Teaching staff: managers of study are Dr. Marcin Jaworski and Dr. King Padzik.

Marcin Jaworski - Doctor of Humanities in the field of psychology, a senior lecturer in the Study of Applications of Psychology at SWPS Warsaw (Methods of recruitment and selection, strategic human resources management). He worked as an HR consultant at the Institute for the Promotion of Human Resources and a lecturer of marketing research and human resource management at the Department of Psychology, University of Warsaw. Creator Psychology specialization and Labor Organization in SWPS and director of the specialization in the years 2002 - 2007.

Kinga Padzik - Doctor of Economic Sciences of the sciences of management and MA in psychology, since 2007 Head of Psychology specialization and Labor Organization in the SWPS. Multiannual consultant in the field of personnel selection and assessment, design of jobs and the organization of teamwork. Specialist in Assessment Center. Author only on the Polish market lexicon of human resources management and a number of specialized publications and a number of scientific studies. The licensed technology consultant Mapp (Motivational Appraisal of Personal Potential), and trainer in this field.

Teachers are experienced lecturer School of Social Psychology, Warsaw University and other institutions, consultancy firms of international consultants, as well as top-class professionals-practitioners, responsible for their own personnel policies of companies.

Duration: two semesters

Tuition for two semesters: 7400 PLN (one time), 7 600 PLN (in two installments), 7 800 PLN (in four installments).

Document the completion of study: Graduates receive, provided for by law, the certificate of completion of the Postgraduate Studies in the School of Social Psychology.

Marketing involves managing the interface between an organization and its customers, by determining their needs and behaviors, and delivering need-satisfying value to them while meeting the organization’s goals. Marketing has a fundamental role in virtually all business decisions and in directing the efforts of customer-driven organizations. Marketing is essential not only to retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers, but also to attorneys, accountants, museums, hospitals, colleges, the performing arts, and political action groups.

Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Provide two letters of recommendation, preferably from employers or supervisors
Take either the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT); the GRE or MAT will be waived for those who have matriculated in and completed four (4) courses from the Human Resources Certificate Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.5

From Human Resource Management to Environmental Management, SPD offers a wide range of programs that address the needs of the Long Island region and emerging professions. Its most popular programs, however, are in the field of professional education. SPD supports educators in each step of their careers by preparing new teachers seeking initial licensure (the Master of Arts in Teaching), assisting current teachers in obtaining their professional license (the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies), and helping advance seasoned teachers into the ranks of administration (the Educational Leadership programs).

Since 1996, SPD has been at the forefront of online learning and currently has the highest online graduate enrollment of any SUNY school. As of Fall 2007, SPD offers five fully online degree and advanced graduate certificate programs. All of SPD’s online graduate programs are accredited, and its Master of Arts in Liberal Studies and post-master’s Educational Leadership Advanced Graduate Certificate have been approved by the New York State Department of Education for the purposes of initial and professional certification.
